எங்களைப் பற்றி
Fire, carried by voices
Akkini means fire — and since our first broadcast that fire has carried Tamil music, language and belonging from a studio in Zürich to Tamil hearts everywhere.
Our mission · எங்கள் நோக்கம்
தமிழ் மொழியும் பண்பாடும் புலம்பெயர் தேசங்களிலும் என்றும் ஒலிக்க வேண்டும் — அதுவே அக்கினியின் நோக்கம்.
Tamil language and culture should ring out in every land Tamils call home. Music, news, art and culture: we carry every heartbeat of Tamil life to the worldwide Tamil community, around the clock.
From Zürich to the world
A studio in Kreis 5, an audience in forty countries.
Our studio sits at Neugasse 60 in Zürich's Kreis 5 — a city tens of thousands of Tamils have made home. From there we broadcast around the clock: devotional songs before sunrise, request hours where the phone lines never cool down, drive-time news that connects the homeland and the diaspora, and soft melodies that keep night-shift workers company until dawn.
Akkini FM is run by AkkiniFM.Skytrade GmbH — a small team with one large conviction: distance should never mean silence.
