We opened the studio for an evening and asked whoever wanted to come. Sixty people did — families, students, a couple who have listened together since our first year on air, and three children who took turns reading the weather in Tamil.
Everyone got a minute on the microphone. Several of those minutes have since made it onto the station between songs.
